VCP-mediated regulation of neuronal RNA localization
The Moon Lab studies how genetic causes of ALS interfere with the RNA biology of the stress response. Our bodies are made of trillions of cells that are ‘programmed’ to change the amount and location of RNA molecules when they are stressed. They are using microscopy and molecular biology approaches to understand how RNA regulation goes awry in the cells of the brain when they experience stressful conditions associated with ALS
