Lauren is an environmental attorney who has dedicated her career to serving the public interest. Currently, she represents the City of Berkeley. Previously, she represented conservation and environmental justice groups in climate change litigation and advised world leaders on science and technology policy.
Lauren’s father Robert Packard contracted ALS and died when she was 11 years old. Between his diagnosis and untimely death, he helped found The Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins to find a cure for this terrible disease. She joined the Board in 2016 to honor his memory and help further scientific advancements in the field.
