Packard Center Supports Game Changer Gala

The Game Changer Gala, held in February 2025 in New Orleans, brought together 800 distinguished guests, including members of the ALS community, NFL greats in town for Super Bowl LIX, acclaimed actors, and renowned musicians, for an evening of celebration and fundraising. Comedian Keegan-Michael Key served as master of ceremonies, and Steve Gleason delivered a moving keynote address using eye-tracking technology. The Packard Center was proud to support this prestigious event, with several team members serving as event volunteers, and staff and members of its Board of Governors in attendance. The Game Changer Gala was created to celebrate the efforts of Team Gleason and Answer ALS, and to pay tribute to those who have been and continue to be game changers in the fight to live with and end ALS. Team Gleason focuses on providing and finding immediate solutions for those living with ALS and other related neuromuscular diseases. The Answer ALS program has created the largest and most comprehensive foundation of ALS data ever amassed. The data will be mined to uncover ALS causes, subtypes, pathways gone awry and drug targets.
The gala exceeded expectations, raising an impressive $2 million for Team Gleason and Answer ALS initiatives that will directly impact research, technology access, and quality of life for people living with ALS.
