Hop On A Cure Awards Grant to Fund Four Research Projects
The Packard Center recently received a transformative $300,000 grant from Hop On A Cure, supporting four future critical research initiatives in the fight against ALS. This generous contribution reflects the organization’s dedicated mission to support research to prevent, reverse, and cure ALS while raising awareness, building a compassionate community, and unleashing the healing power of hope.
The Story Behind the Support
The foundation was born from a personal journey of Grammy award-winning musician John Driskell Hopkins. A founding member of Zac Brown Band, Hop was diagnosed with ALS in December 2021. Rather than surrender to despair, he and his wife Jennifer channeled their experience into action, creating Hop On A Cure to support research and bring hope to others facing this challenging diagnosis.
Through this significant grant, the Packard Center can continue its vital work in understanding and ultimately defeating ALS, turning personal struggle into a beacon of hope for countless families.
