Become a Research Ambassador – Apply Today!

The ALS Clinical Research Learning Institute® is a two-day program that empowers attendees to be strong advocates in the filed of ALS by educating them on clinical research and the therapy development process. Certification as an ALS Research Ambassador® provides opportunities to influence and improve the ALS Research process.

Organized by the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, the ALS-CRLI, a program pioneered by the Northeast Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Consortium® (NEALS), is designed to provide education and training to individuals impacted by ALS who are interested in clinical research and the therapy development process. Individuals who complete the ALS-CRLI program are considered ALS Research Ambassadors and are eligible to participate in opportunities that influence and improve the ALS research process.

The 2024 Baltimore/Washington, DC Metro Area ALS-CRLI will take place September 19th & 20th in Baltimore, MD. Due to budget and room size, please note that this event is limited to applicants who live within the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metro Area. Individuals impacted by ALS who reside in the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metro Area and have not yet attended a CRLI are encouraged to apply! For more information about the CRLI program, please visit the NEALS website.

People living with ALS who are accepted into the program will be invited to bring one caregiver or family member. The Packard Center will cover the cost of travel for both participants.
